Michael Jackson memorial service: the biggest celebrity send-off of all time

Michael Jackson’s body, in a golden coffin, took centre stage as an estimated one billion people watched the biggest celebrity send-off of all time.
The singer once said his own funeral would be the “greatest show on earth” and he would not have been disappointed as music royalty turned out at a memorial service for the “King of Pop”.
Many of the 11,000 fans who had won tickets in a global online lottery were reduced to tears as a stellar line-up, including Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah, and Smokey Robinson appeared in an emotionally charged atmosphere at the Staples Center sports arena in Los Angeles. Jackson’s children sat in the front row of the crowd close to his coffin.
As the family emerged from the cemetery’s Hall of Liberty, Paris clutched the hand of the singer’s mother Katherine, 79, a Jehova’s Witness, and his brothers helped load the coffin, covered in red flowers, into a plain black hearse..
It was then driven 11 miles to the memorial service escorted by the California Highway Patrol. A helicopter had been on standby in case the roads were blocked by traffic.
It was not clear where the body would be taken after the memorial service, although it was likely to go back to Forest Lawn for burial.
Jackson’s grave would remain secret as the cemetery never reveals the resting spot of its famous clients and some areas are closed off to the public.

Forge Magazine would like to take this time to pay respects to the untimely passing of Michael Jackson.
We have a question for all you MJ’s fans. Do you think the media is exploiting MJ’s passing?! I see the media is having a field day by using 75% of their coverage about MJ’s passing to talk about his former allegations of child molestation, money and family problems. I think they should use less time discussing those issues and focus on how much of an Icon he was…not only musically but culturally. Michael Jackson is and always will be the King of Pop!

If you haven’t seen The Hangover yet, it is definitely a must see! This is one of the funniest movies, I would say, in the past 5 years. Hollywood has been lacking with top quality funny movies but they hit the nail on the head with this one. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can’t remember a thing. For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they can’t find is Doug. With no clue as to what transpired and little time to spare, the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time to walk down the aisle.

“Transformers” star has been so often compared with Angelina Jolie both in terms of beauty and popularity level that many are already accustomed to referring to her as “the new Angelina.” While this can’t but be flattering for Fox who, until not long ago, was a relative no-name in the industry, for Angie, the comparison is far from pleasant, Life&Style says, citing sources close to the actress.
“Angie is not thrilled about turning 34, to put it mildly. In fact, she’s panicking a little. She feels that her age is starting to undercut her choice of film roles – and it annoys her that Megan Fox is being touted as the ‘new Angelina’.” a friend of Angelina’s tells the tab. Admittedly, the comparison annoys the star so much that she was hardly able to enjoy her birthday.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was an awesome movie…a little lengthy but still good. My only concern was with Megan Fox. The movie seemed to sex her up a lot more than the previous Transformers. Even though I feel they over did Megan’s infamous sex appeal, there’s no denying she’s one of the Hottest actresses out right now. And she definitely brought spark to the screen…I see a promising acting career in her future.

On June 22th 2009 Rihanna went to court to testify on Chris Brown about the alleged assault which happened earlier this year. Before Rihanna could testify Brown plead guilty to one count of assault related to the incident. Chris now faces five years of supervised probation and six months of community service. The judge ordered that Rihanna and Brown may not come within 50 yards of each other, unless they are at an event, in which case they can come within 10 yards of each other. They are not allowed to have any written or telephone contact, or contact through a third party, and the order will remain in full effect for five years.
If you ask me, I think Chris knew Rhianna was gonna let him have on that stand and it would’ve been a wrap. He did the right thing by pleading gulity before RiRi got on the witness stand…and I must say Rihanna looked Gorgeous dressed in all black with black shades. Humm dressed in all black? Sounds like a symbolic message to me, LoL
Beyonce’ Gone Crazy?!

Beyonce’ is back on Tour in the US, but with all of that hair whipping, screaming, flying, etc….I have to ask, has Beyonce Gone Crazy?! I would almost say she is becoming more than just “Sasha Fierce”…she’s transforming into a whole new species. I didn’t attend her previous tours but I heard from die hard Beyonce fans that her last tour in 2007 was better. But I must say Beyonce will keep you entertained either way.
